What is classical education?

A classical education provides a well-rounded education in the liberal arts and sciences. It utilizes proven teaching approaches such as direct instruction, phonics/the science of reading, and is content-rich, creating an environment that promotes intellectual, and civic virtue.

What is a Charter School?

A public charter school is a publicly funded tuition-free school that operates independently of the traditional public school system, providing choice of pedagogical systems to parents.

What is the hillsdale K-12 curriculum?

It is a comprehensive, classical, K-12 curriculum that emphasizes the core disciplines of math, science, literature, and history, and provides an excellent educational experience in music, art, physical education, and foreign languages. 

It is a content-rich curriculum (Core Knowledge) that uses Singapore Math, and teaches reading using a phonics-focused curriculum based on the Science of Reading.

Where and when will the school open?

We plan on opening as a tuition-free public charter school in September 2026 on the West side of the Greater Madison Area, Wisconsin. 

Initially, we will offer K-5. We plan on adding a new grade each year until we are K-12.

How can I help the founding of FDACE?

We are always looking for individuals to get involved and volunteer their time and expertise.

Once we have the official nonprofit 501(c)(3) status, and will reach out to complete the donation.

How Can I Enroll My Child?

For public charter schools, the open seats at each grade level are filled via a lottery of all applicants. If you would like to be contacted when the application process opens, click the link below to pledge an enrollment.

Returning students do not have to go through the lottery process again. Also, siblings of current students are given enrollment priority.
